I would like to know if anyone knows how I could get a credit card with a pretty good credit amount on it the only thing is that I have low credit. My husband needs one to boost up his credit score.

I was going thru all of this last year myself. I was still working on paying off items and trying to get the good already working in while paying off or down the bad. I got a secured credit card. Which just means that you send them any amount of money (ex: $200, $400, $600, any amt ..etc) and they send you a card in that amount. Orchard bank is who I went thru, and they have been very good to work with ever since. They also are good about warning me when it is time for my yearly finance charge, which is actually really low as well. How it works is they keep the money you sent for secure deposit, say $200. Then when you get the card and start to use it you get a bill just like you would any other card. The money isn%26#039;t taken away from your original balance ..it is instead a monthly bill you pay with interest. When you ever cancel the card (which I wouldn%26#039;t suggest if you are trying to build) they send you the money back. I believe they also mentioned to me that after a certain amount of time that you are in good standing they send you the deposit back also and can keep using the card and paying. It has worked really well, they were good at immediately reporting my good standing credit card to the credit bureau%26#039;s too, which is awesome.
