I think my credit score is like 540. I am a veteran so i can use the va home loan. please read on...

I just started working as an over the road truck driver so i dont have a physical address. Around July or August I would like to get a home loan for a duplex... by that time I estimate that I will have $15,000 in savings. I am currently making about $40,000/yr.

What can I do to raise my credit score within the next 8 months? I will have had no late payments within the past 12 months but my only bills are my sprint account, auto insurance, sirius radio, visa, and mastercard (and maybe health insurance but that is taken directly out of my paycheck). If I paid my dad like $50 a month for rent would that help improve my chances of getting a loan?

I am looking at buying a duplex that costs between $80,000-$100,000. thanks for your answers!

I guessing that your scores are low due to late payments on you open or even your closed accounts. Also If your looking at getting a home in 8 months, you should NOT open any new accounts and stay current on the accounts you have now. That is very important. Because time heals bad credit. The sprint, auto insurance, and paying your father has no impact on your credit, the reason being is that they don%26#039;t report to the bureaus unless you go bad on the accounts. Then it%26#039;ll show up as a collection account.

On you visa and MasterCard try to pay the balance below 35% of the high limit on the cards. That will show that your not living in debt, and will improve you score in a short time.

A company that I support in credit repair is Trinity Credit Services, Talk to Leana, she a senior consultant. They%26#039;ll give you some professional help on getting your scores up within a 6 months period.

Good luck!!

hey dude dont sweat it , the va is very cool to its veterans. if u use your visa as much as practical and pay it off on time it will help some but just dont get any lates from now . if you got money in the bank uwhen u go to get your loan, you will be way ahead of most people that get thier va loans approved.
