Do you know your Credit score? What is it?

How many people know what their credit score is? What is yours?

Do you know your Credit score? What is it?

Not many people know their credit scores and even when they do it usually continues to change due to various reasons, main one has to do with purchase transactions. Every time we buy something using our credits and not cash, it can affect towards our credit score points. With time and with prompt payments, fico scores tend to increase. The biggest credit purchase that can affect or help our FICO (credit score) go either up or high is a home loan. If your fico was somewhat bad at the beginning, within 6 months of good/prompt payments your score benefits in a big way. On the other hand, if you ever miss a mortgage payment, your credit goes way down and takes longer to fix it. Mine: fair.

No but I do know it%26#039;s not very good.

Do you know your Credit score? What is it?

There are many ways to do it. If you live in New York State, the state law says you are permitted to receive one free report per year, you%26#039;d have to go to a bank for that.

Sometimes you can see them for free, sometimes you have to pay. You can go to your bank and ask them, when you apply for almost anything - to rent, buy a car, home loan - a credit report is produced and you can ask for a copy.

You can also use pay (or sometimes free trial) subscriptions at any other the three major credit bureaus - equifax.com, transunion.com, experian.com. Those are the three credit bureaus that together compile your credit history.

Mine is excellent.
