My husband and I worked for the same company about 3 years ago and it unexpectedly closed - and we were both without a job. Due to this, we drained our savings while we tried to find new jobs. I still have not. We have several charge offs on our credit. We have three open accounts now in good standing (have never been late)! Should I pay off all the charge offs? And if I pay the balance will they remove it from our credit report? What is the best way to raise the overall score quickly other than just paying your bills on time.
