When will I get a credit score?

I%26#039;m 19 and have no credit score. I opened up a Macys card in April. Since then I have made 2 payments on time. After how long of paying on this card give me some sort of credit score?

When will I get a credit score?

The first poster does not really know. Scores are based on your current credit reports. They are dynamic and change as the information on your report changes. Creditors will generally update information on your report every month. So you already have a credit history, but not enough for a score yet.

Since I imagine that this is your first credit card your history is considered new. With new reports it can take several months to even be able to compute a score. If you are using and paying it off every month you should give it at least 6 months, but closer to a year would not be out of the ordinary. Opening up another line of credit or loan would decrease the time it would take, as the scoring systems have more to go off of.

But I would really not worry about your score right now. As long as you continue to pay the account On-Time and don%26#039;t go over 30% of your limit when you do get your score you will be fine.

When will I get a credit score?

I would expect you to get a credit score at the end of June. Credit scores are normally calculated at the end of most quarters. If you opened it up in March, you probably would have had one almost immediately.
