Will my credit score still show up bad?

I pay my own cell phone bill. But I%26#039;m in and out of part-time jobs all the time and half of the time I pay my cell phone bill late. But when I DO have money, I pay the rest of the bill and my account is down to $0 again.

So even though the late payments on the cell phone bill is probably sent to the collection agency, when you pay it off...will it look better on your credit score? Or will they not overlook that you pay it late?

A couple of observations.

If your cell phone is still on and the company is accepting your payments, I doubt that they have turned your account over to collections.

Since cell phone accounts are not reported to the credit bureaus unless they are sent to collections, you should be fine.

You DO NOT want a collection agency tagging you. It%26#039;s BAD NEWS when you get older. Keep paying small amounts, they can do nothing if you pay like 5 dollars, it shows your attempting to pay it off. Don%26#039;t allow it to go to a collection agency or CANCEL the dang PHONE!!!!!

Have you been notified from collections? Most of the time if phone company hasnt contacted you or discontinued you service you should be ok. It takes a while before they start reporting you. My advise-don%26#039;t have something you cant afford. Get a pre-paid plan instead.
