All of the ligitimate sources I have looked at have a sign up scam running. You must sign up for credit protection plans or the like before you can get your free score. You must give them your credit card number for your free trial that by the way is difficult to get %26quot;unsubscribed%26quot; to. I thought the law said you could get a free credit score yearly. Where do I do this?

you can use those programs pretty easily. its really not a scam. you give them the card number, but you get your score. i usually call right afterward and cancel, you still get your score and report for free. its not difficult to unsubscribe, just call and say i want to cancel, and they cancel you. like i said, i called right after i got the score, and its no hassle. truecredit is a good site and myfico.com. and you cant get a free credit score yearly, you get a free credit report yearly. the score is extra.

The only way I know of to get a credit score for free is to shop for a mortgage and ask your mortgage broker. However, the broker has to pay for it, so that%26#039;s kindof scummy.
