Will my credit score go up once my judgement has been satisfied?

A judgement was entered against me in 2004. It has since been paid off but the creditor never notified the credit bureau. How much will my score go up once they are notified?

it will go up slowly, like maybe 3-8 points a month, if that was the only thing against you.

there are too many factors to say for sure, but it is a very slow process...

Credit is based in history,...so it will take a while for it to catch up with you score...on the other hand the fact that you paid it would be a plus to any credit officer that reviews your CBR in case you are looking to buy something in credit...

A judgement stays on your credit report for up to 15 years

depending on your state.

If you did not make them validate the debt, or it was a collection agency who purchased debt, or it was past

the statue of limitations, you could consult a laywer

and sue them back
